Nativity Service

The Nativity Service is a Sunday Morning community worship, normally given on the second or third Sunday before Christmas Day.  It consists of a light hearted depiction and enactment of the events procceding and after the birth of Jesus Christ.  It is an opportunity for the younger members including the very young and hopefully a baby to take part in the re-enactment.  However practicalities often result in a number of adults with tea-towels on their heads.

The service invokes a fun and romantic idealised image, rather than one of strict historical or biblical authenticity, but is a joyous and entertaining family occasion.  In one nativity service we once saw Joseph carrying in his Donkey!
