There are several events during Hedge End Methodist Church’s celebration of Christmas this year. Details are given below:- In addition to these highlighted events our normal Sunday services will take place throughout December. You are welcome to join us at any of these events.

Please note that we will be joining our friends at Woolston Methodist Church for their Christmas morning service so there will not be a service at Hedge End on this day. Several people from Woolston joined our service last year.

Christmas Concert

Christmas Lunch

This will take place on Sunday 4th December further details are given on the  Booking forms which are now available, and need to be returned by  Sunday 27th November to faciliate Catering Arrangements . Sorry we can only feed people on the day who have booked.

Nativity Festival

This will take place between the 8th and 11th and December.

‘Do they know it’s Christmas?’
A series of displays that compare
what we think we know about the first Christmas
with what the Bible and modern research tell us.

This will take place between the 8th and 11th and December.

Carol Service

This will take place in the Church on Sunday 18th December at 10.30 a.m.

Christmas Eve Celebration


This will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday 24th December .A fun family friendly service led by Christine Hughes where we will explore the nativity story.
All are welcome to come dressed as a figure from the nativity (or not if you don’t want to).
Light refreshments after the service.

Midnight Service

Starting at 11.30 p.m. on Saturday 24th December there will be a service of Holy Communion led by Rev John Hughes to welcome the coming of Jesus into the world.‘Yea, Lord, we greet Thee,born this happy morning’.
