On Saturday 8th June we held an extended “Jammy Church” which included a visit from MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) who brought there Plane with them.

Despite the somewhat wet and windy weather the many visitors and regulars to the Church had a good time whilst raising awareness of and money for MAF.  As well as the Plane MAF bought a flight simulator which was enjoyed with various degrees of success, a few crashes occurred and virtual trees were run into.  Thee were also various Craft activities available for people to try.

More about MAF can be found at

The event was visited by a reporter from Radio Solent who interviewed Maggie from the Church and Kevin from MAF whilst sat in the cockpit of the plane.  This was broadcast during the Tim Daykin show on Sunday morning. If you would like to listen to this broadcast a link is below, (Please note you will need to sign into the BBC in order to listen to this, although you can look at the picture without signing in).

Our Thanks to those people from MAF and from the Church  who worked hard to make this event possible.
