Can we learn from the North East ?

On Friday 1st February at 7.30 p.m. there will be a meeting in the Hall to discuss the report “Methodism in the North-East’ and its relevance to Hedge End Methodist Church.

The Connexion invited the Revd Dr Stephen Skuce to study the 294 churches in the Newcastle and Darlington Districts; the trend of reduced attendance was widespread both on Sundays and weekdays, but a few churches, large and small, urban and rural, were growing numerically. The study assesses the characteristics of these growing churches.

Dr Skuce presented his findings to our District Synod – come along and see what we can learn from the study and how we can apply change within our own Methodist community

It will be informal,– anyone can attend – the Stewards would welcome your views.

Copies of the Report Summary, ‘Leading Together in Growing Methodist Churches’ can be e-mailed to you in advance – just ask any Steward.
