we will be holding our first “Broader Horizons ” meeting in the Church on Sunday 23rd April at 7 p.m.  This will be the first in a proposed series of monthly evening meetings with the purpose of widening our personal Christian horizons through hearing the testimony, challenges and stories of Christians from outside of  Hedge End Methodist Church.

The focus of these evenings will be interviewing Christians ‘Parkinson style’ to hear of their faith and relationship with God, and how, in their professional roles, they have had cause to rely on God. The intention is that a discussion is had about Christian faith, and who knows we may also be challenged …

The first interviewee will be Brian Reid from Warsash URC who is known to  some of you as he kindly does the puppets at Jammy.  I believe that they also use the puppets in work with care homes. If you would like to find out about the Puppets and a lot more about Brian why not come along.

It will be an informal group that commences with hot drinks.  we will include a time of prayer at the beginning and end of each session. It was not anticipated that the evenings would last much over 90 mins.

The next meetings will be on May 21st, June 18th, July 16th,August – No meeting, September 17th, October 15th, November 19th

Future speakers will be announced  here,  in the Newsletter and the notices.  The meetings do not form a course so you are welcome to attend as few or as many sessions as you like.
