On Wednesday 19th October several of us spent the day at Portchester Methodist Church. We attended the Southampton District Celebration day of Methodist Women in Britain(MWIB). The Theme for the day was “Our Stories and Songs”, the Main speaker was Anne Browse the President of MWIB. During the day we explored Fictional and Personal Stories, ranging from an extract from the Wind in the Willows, to a personal visit to the Refugee camps in Greece last year.
We also heard from two people (0ut of the 70)who were on the visit made to the World Federation of Methodist and United Church Woman Conference in Houston Texas in August. The New World President of this organisation Alison Judd being one of the people who spoke to us.
